Guh, can't think of a better title. But damn, it's been like over ten years since I've last drawn good old Scroogie. I completely forgot how difficult the beak can be!
So yeah, a DuckTales reboot. This sure is neat, huh? I watched the episode earlier today, and let me tell you, I was probably never so hyped for a cartoon premiere! It almost lived up to the hype... almost.
Pros of the new series:
- New updated triplets: Now with individual personalities!
- Scrooge is badass as always.
- While I prefer the old series' smooth lines, I also really enjoy the new more angular style.
- There's this whole mystery why Scrooge and Donald stopped adventuring together.
- DELLA IS ALIVE IN THIS VERSION?? (or else, why would you end with her mention?)
- Mrs. Beakley is probably a former marine and Webby her psychotic shut-in granddaughter. Sick!
- Gabby is kinda hot. There, I said it!
Cons:
- I STILL CAN'T UNDERSTAND A SINGLE FUCKING WORD DONALD SAYS

I love how Scrooge is introduced. The boys build him up to be this heroic adrenaline junkie, and then we see him and he's all BLAH! bored with the world! Creepy old gloomy Gus! Doesn't even swim in his vault anymore (and is it just me, or does he have a lot less gold now?) And don't get me started on his people skills. But then trouble arises and CURSE ME KILTS he's missed trouble!!! He's ready to get back in the game!!
